The iQOO 13, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, is expected to launch in India on December 5, 2024, according to leaks. It will feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset (possibly called Snapdragon 8 Elite), which is set to be unveiled later this month. This chipset could make the iQOO 13 one of the first smartphones to debut with Qualcomm’s latest technology.
The iQOO 13 recently appeared on Geekbench, revealing impressive performance. It scored 3,142 points in the single-core test and 10,052 points in the multi-core test. These benchmark results surpass those of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which scored 3,069 in single-core and 9,080 in multi-core tests with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The iQOO 13 is expected to feature an octa-core processor with two performance cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at 3.53GHz. It will also come with up to 16GB of RAM and run Android 15 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15.
Despite the iQOO 13’s high performance, it still falls short of the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s single-core benchmark score of 3,562, although it outperforms Apple’s flagship in the multi-core category, where the iPhone 16 Pro Max scored 8,814.
The iQOO 13 is expected to be a powerful competitor in the premium smartphone market, with other key specifications like a high-end display from BOE and a potential focus on heat dissipation and fast charging technology. Further details will likely emerge as more smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and other flagship chipsets, like the Dimensity 9400, are launched in the coming months.
