Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the crown jewel of Xiaomi’s phone lineup this year. So, it is expected to bring a camera upgrade over its siblings, the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15. A fresh tip reiterates its 200MP telephoto zoom camera with some crop factor. Catch all the details below:
Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera specifications (tipped)
As per reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could pack the following cameras on its back:
- Main camera: A 50MP sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 23mm equivalent focal length. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra also had a similarly-configured primary camera. It also offered OIS.
- Secondary camera: A 200MP periscope telephoto with 4.3x optical zoom (a crop of 1/1.5 inch or 4.1x zoom with a 1/1.4-inch image), a 100mm focal length, and an f/2.6 aperture. DCS says the 200MP camera could have “slightly cropped” images for a longer perceived focal length or zoomed-in feel.
- DCS hasn’t said anything about the other sensors.
- But based on a recent leak by XiaomiTime, we believe the Ultra model could feature a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor for ultrawide shots and a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor with a 3x zoom capability. For selfies, you could get a 32MP OmniVision OV32B sensor.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has 5 rear cameras including the above-mentioned primary sensor, a regular 50MP telephoto sensor with 3.2x zoom (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x zoom (OIS), a 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a ToF depth sensor.
Even the Xiaomi 15 Pro has a 5x optical zoom option. So, we aren’t sure why Xiaomi would go for a lower zoom capability on its top-end model.

Other Xiaomi 15 Ultra specifications (expected)
- Display: On the front, there could be a 6.7-inch LTPO micro quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. That’s quite similar to what the Xiaomi 15 Pro has.
- Processor: It is expected to ship with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
- Battery: There could be a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging support. For context, the Xiaomi 15 Pro has a 6,100mAh cell with the same charging specs.
- Software: On top of this hardware, you could get Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0. Its siblings have the same arrangement.
- Design: The phone could come with plain leather, fibreglass, or ceramic finishes and a large circular camera island on the back.
The phone has a better processor, battery size, and comparable screen specs than its predecessor.
