The proof of Motorola working on sub-foldable phones in the Razr 50 series was first discovered back in September. The handset in question was the Razr 50s and the same was spotted on the Geekbench platform a few weeks later. Now, 91mobiles has spotted the Motorola Razr 50s Ultra on Wireless Power Consortium certification and SGS Fimko certifications. The former listing has the render of the phone, showing off the entire design.
To recall, Motorola already launched the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra foldables. The new Razr 50s series might be debuting very soon. Going by the marketing name, these might sit below the regular models.
Motorola Razr 50s Ultra spotted online
Wireless Power Consortium
- The Motorola Razr 50s Ultra bears the model number XT2451-6, as revealed by the Wireless Power Consortium certification.
- The certification also mentions the marketing name of the phone (Moto Razr 50s Ultra), confirming the identity.
- The maximum load power mentioned on the certification is 15.0. This means the Razr 50s Ultra may support 15W wireless charging.
- As for the design, the Motorola Razr 50s Ultra looks almost identical to the Razr 50 Ultra.
- We see a large flip-style foldable design, with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and narrow bezels. The top bezel also houses the earpiece.
- The volume rocker and power button are present on the right edge, while the SIM tray section is on the left spine.
- The USB Type-C charging, speaker vents and a microphone are at the bottom.
- Flipping to the back, you see a large secondary screen on the top portion of the rear panel that extends until the hinge.
- There are dual-camera sensors and an LED flash within the screen.
- The bottom portion appears to have a leather finish and houses the iconic Motorola dimple and Razr branding.
SGS Fimko
- The Motorola Razr 50s Ultra also appeared on SGS Fimko certification but this time with multiple variants, including XT2451-1, XT2451-2, XT2451-3, XT2451-4, XT2451-5, and XT2451-6.
- We already know the XT2451-6 is the Razr 50s Ultra from the Wireless Consortium. This means the rest could be other variants of the same phone.
- The SGS Fimko listing suggests the foldable could come with 44W fast wired charging, similar to the Razr 50 Ultra.
Besides the Wireless Consortium and SGS Fimko certifications, the foldable has been spotted on the official Motorola US website under the hearing aid compatibility in the US list with the model numbers XT2451-1 and XT2451-2. However, the marketing name mentioned is Motorola Razr+ (2024). It should be noted the standard Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is rebranded as Razr+ (2024) in the US market.
The mention of new model numbers with the existing marketing name might mean that Motorola may discontinue the current outgoing model and add the new Razr 50s Ultra in its place soon. However, this is just a speculation and not confirmed yet.
All these online appearances are suggesting the launch of the new Motorola Razr 50s series could be around the corner.
