Leaked renders show Moto G 5G 2025 has an extra camera

The Moto G 5G 2024 was launched in March, and Motorola is, of course, already working on its successor. The Moto G 5G 2025 has now leaked in CAD-based renders, and immediately we see what could potentially be a major upgrade: a third camera on the back.

That said, before you get all excited about it, keep in mind that it may just be a 2 MP depth sensor, making the phone look more high-end than it actually is. The 2024 model had a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP macro camera, so it’s not like Motorola hasn’t done something like this before. Naturally, we’re hoping to get at least an 8 MP ultrawide, but only time will tell.

Like its predecessor, the upcoming phone features a flat display, a thick bottom bezel, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has added a more square camera island that has increased in size to accommodate the third sensor.

The Moto G 5G 2025 reportedly has the same 6.6-inch screen as the 2024 variant. The new device measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 8.17 mm (9.6 mm over the camera bump). Despite having the same display size, this makes it slightly taller and wider than its predecessor, which is a little interesting but probably won’t be noticed unless you have these two side by side.

If Motorola sticks to the same release cadence as before, expect this model to go official in March.
