Samsung’s Galaxy A56 has been leaked in CAD-based renders today. As you can see below, the photos show a device that is easily recognizable as Samsung, no surprise there, but there is something new in its design for the A5x series: the camera island.
We no longer have separate mini-islands for each camera directly on the rear glass, these are now contained within one large black oval-shaped island. Design-wise that’s really the only big new thing here, if you don’t count the bottom bezel which appears to be a bit smaller – but these are CAD-based renders, remember, so they may not be 100% accurate. There are such things anyway.
So it seems that the Korean company finally wants to differentiate its lower-end and mid-range devices from its higher-end phones again, by giving the former a camera island and the latter with separate mini-islands. Leaving aside, if the leaks revealed about the Galaxy S25 series have been accurate.
The Galaxy A56 will have a better selfie camera, support for 45W wired charging, and an Exynos 1580 SoC. The Galaxy A55 arrived in March this year, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see the A56 go official in March 2025. We will let you know when we know more about it.
