Only Rs. 60,000, it brings thanks to an ultra-split, light design, different types of ports, crisp view its OLED panel and decent battery life. All are wrapped in a stylish metallic brown chassis.
However, under the hood, it packs the Intel Core Ultra 5 115U processor. Although it is a solid chipset, it is a little late for the game and does not cool significantly with the performance offered by some of its rivals on at least paper. Its slim profile and brushed metallic finish give it a premium feel, making it look like a high-end laptop. Additionally, matte brown combines brown color, making it suitable for both professional settings and casual environment.
When it comes to building quality, Swift Neo gets most things correct, although there are some trade-offs. Aluminum builds seem solid, but the weight distribution is slanting towards the lid, leaving the base (C-section). The good news is that the laptop still undergoes a one-hand opening test. However, there is a little staggering, especially if you are one of those who are strictly types. On the bright side, the gold trim (which is a subjective design option) on the hinges adds a touch of the flare and earns some digits in the context of aesthetics.
Moving on the performance, I am excited to see more brands embracing OLED technology. The 14 -inch Wuxga OLED screen on Acer Swift Neo offers a surprising, vivid view experience that is perfect for everything from watching films to editing photos and even to work on detailed projects. As you expect from OLED, blacks are deep, HDR adds prosperity to the material.
In terms of color accuracy, the panel consists of 100% of the SRGB color surge and 92% of NTSC, making this material an excellent choice for the creators. In addition, the 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical screen space, making it easier to work on the spreadsheet, write reports, or many windows are open at a time. For backlighting, it is subtle, but not quite bright for all situations. This is not a unique issue for Swift Neo; Laptops with white backlighting, especially those who are not black, often struggle with slow light during evening or low-light conditions. Under the keyboard, the touchpad is generously standing out. It is both wide and tall, which gives you a lot of space for gestures and navigation. The surface contains a matte finish, which usually seems slightly different from the smooth surfaces found on most touchpads. To keep things in perspective, I compared Swift Neo with Acer Aspire Light Al15-53, which is powered by the old Intel Core i3-1305U, and Asus Vivobook 15 with Intel Core 5 120U. The core 5 in most benchmarks, including Swift Neo Geekbench, holds its own share against 120U, although 120u cinebench improves Swift NEO in R23 and R24. On the GPU front, Swift does its 3 XE core surprisingly well with NEO’s 115U processor, consecutively improves its rivals in 3dmark benchmark suites.
Now, let’s talk about battery life, which is one of the standout features of Intel’s new core lineup, especially in U-series. In my test, Swift Neo easily ran through a complete working day, including multitasking with several browser tabs, playing in the background, participating in video calls, working on script and watching a YouTube video during lunch. To put it in numbers, in the PCMRK battery video loop test, Swift NEO lasted up to 7 hours with a set of about 80% of 7 hours, which is very good at view of the price section.
