ASUS is launching the ROG Phone 9 series, including the regular ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro, on November 19th. Earlier today, 91mobiles shared the design, accessories, and specifications of the ROG Phone 9 Pro. We now have the regular ROG Phone 9 design and specifications including AI Gaming features, courtesy industry insiders. Take a look:

- Design: The phone looks similar to the ROG Phone 8 but the ROG symbol isn’t RGB-lit on the new model. There is a new ROG text logo which is lit though. The sides also seem more rounded in this one.
- Colours: The phone will be available in Storm White and Phantom Black colours.

- Weight: The phone weighs 227 grams.
- Dimensions: 163.8×76.8×8.9 mm. So, it is similar in size to its predecessor.
- Box contents: Clear Case, USB-C to USB-C cable (120 cm), Ejector pin, 65W USB power adapter, and Documentation (user guide, warranty card) papers.
It isn’t clear whether the ROG Phone 9 supports AeroActive Cooler X (a clip-on cooler to keep the phone cool in extensive gaming). The images we have got don’t show this or any other accessory.
ASUS ROG Phone 9 specifications
- Memory: The vanilla ROG Phone 9 will arrive with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. So, less RAM and ROM than the Pro model.
- Software: You get Android 15 with ROG UI and Game Genie (with features like AirTriggers, Macro, Bypass charging, Background mode, Bloxked touch edges, No alerts No calls, ROG Instand Master, Vibration Mapping, PiP Mod,e Lock touch, Crosshair, Quick Control, Key Mapping, and Scout mode).
- Processor: The underlying processor (as already revealed) is the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This rocks 4.1GHz clock speed (slower than what Qualcomm boasts), a 64-bit instruction set and an Adreno 830 GPU.
- Display: On the front, there will be a 6.78-inch Samsung Flexible LTPO AMOLED screen with FHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) resolution, 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 165Hz upscaling in system setting or 185Hz in Game Genie mode. It also has an Always-On display, 2,500 nits peak brightness (1,600 nits HBM), HDR10, 107.37 percent DCI-P3, 145.65 percent sRGB, 103.16 percent NTSC colour coverage, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and an in-display fingerprint reader.
- Front camera: For selfies and video calls, you get a 32MP sensor.
- Rear cameras: On the back, there is a 50MP Sony Lytia 700 main camera (1/1.56″ sensor size, F1.9 aperture, Gimbal OIS), 13MP 120° ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera. As for videography, you get support for up to 8K at 30fps (normal) and 720P at 480fps (slow-mo).
- Battery: The ASUS phone bags a 5,800 mAh cell with 65W Quick Charge 5.0 and PD Charging support.
- AI Gaming features: X Sense X Capture AI Grabber (that lets you extract text from games), AI Camera, AI Object Sense, AI HyperClarity, 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer, AI Call Translator, AI Transcript, AI Wallpaper,
- Miscellaneous: Among other things, the phone also packs dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack (Hi-Res Audio up to 384 kHz/32-bit, Dirac Virtuo, Spatial Sound), Tri-microphones with ASUS Noise Reduction Technology, up to 6GHz Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 (aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless support), NFC, NavIC, GPS, and 5G (n1 / n2 / n3 / n5 / n7 / n8 / n12 / n18 / n20 / n25 / n26 / n28 / n38 / n40 / n41 / n48 / n66 / n77 / n78 / n79).
