A major manufacturer of gigabytes, laptops and PC components has achieved a world record in DDR5 speed using its overclocked Z890 Aorus Tachyon Ice Motherboard. It exceeds the previous achievement of the motherboard that was crossing the 10,600 MT/S obstruction. The company has shared the latest test results including DDR5 memory speed and 3DMark CPU profile score. You can find those results below and also learn how it was obtained.
Gigabyte Z890 World Record
Z890 Aorus Tachyon Ice Motherboard with DDR5-12726 RAM has pulled a memory frequency 12726 Mount/S (Million transfer per second).
Professional overclocker Hikuki The person who has scored this. He allegedly used a single 24 GB Manta Exfinity RGB DDR5 SDRAM with a 6,363 MHz frequency (from V-Caller) and with an underclock Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) 285K CPU at 419.57 MHz. Its only two cores were active.
The processor contains liquid nitrogen cooling, but refers to the white color (not cooling capacity) of the tachin ice branding motherboard.

Hikuki praised Gigabyte Motherboard and V-Kolar Ram for this achievement. He highlights the following aspects of this test:
- There was no cold boot bug or cold bug.
- Successful XMP (OC) overclocks from DDR5 to 10,000 MHz
- LN2 DDR5 pushed beyond 12,600 MHz
- It was a complete pot overclocking with A-dye memory on high frequencies
- It was also a full pot overclocking with non-binary M-dai memory on high frequencies.
- PG (Power Good Signal) Mode
In addition to DDR5 overclocking, the motherboard has also received the following scores on a famous benchmarking platform:
- 3dmark cpu profile score: 1T (1795), 2T (3572)And 8T (13309)So, the more terabit or memory density, the more scores are there.
The Z890 series was launched last October and since then we have seen it crossing the benchmark twice. This is very good news for enthusiasts and if you are one, stay here for more such posts.
