Huawei will unveil the Mate 70 series tomorrow, and we’ll also see a Mate X6 foldable. The phone is expected to come with HarmonyOS Next, an operating system built on a completely new kernel.
The improved user interface will bring new features and gesture controls, and according to a new teaser, it’ll let you throw a file between devices without actually touching them. Watch the video starring Richard Yu, Huawei CEO of Consumer Business Division:
The video shows the Huawei Mate X6, and we can see the huge camera island on the back. It also shows a tablet, presumably the recently introduced MatePad Pro 12.2 (or the one coming with HarmonyOS Next); The clip ends with the Mate 70 featuring three punch holes on the front.
A palm-to-fist gesture will activate the “walk” process, then a motion will “send” the file, and then another move with a closed fist on another display drops whatever is being sent.

Such a feature certainly sounds cool, but we’ll have to wait until the device launches and see if it actually works in real life.
