New leak reveals iPhone 17 slim design, price range, specifications

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series in September next year. Rumors about the new iPhone 17 Air model, which is expected to replace the Plus version in the next lineup, have been doing the rounds for a while now, and recently, some renders of the speculated model along with the price range have surfaced. The iPhone 17 Air is said to have a thin design and a 6.6-inch display. It is likely to have a 24-megapixel front camera.

AppleTrack revealed the alleged design, specifications, and possible price of the iPhone 17 Air in a YouTube video. The video includes concept renders of the phone in multiple colors that showcase its ultra-thin build and suggest that its chassis is made from a combination of titanium and aluminum. These renders depict an iPhone model that takes design cues from the iPhone 6 with a slim build. It is said to come with a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display may offer better scratch resistance and include a Dynamic Island feature.

Apple is expected to integrate under-display Face ID technology in 2025 iPhone models. This could double the front camera resolution on the iPhone 17 Air from 12-megapixel on the iPhone 16 Plus to 24-megapixel. On the back, the YouTuber notes that it will have a single rear camera with a 48-megapixel sensor. The single rear camera may include the 2x telephoto function of the current iPhone 16.

The YouTuber has also suggested changes in the rear camera design. Apple may shift the camera module from the left corner to the midline of the back panel. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air is said to include Apple’s first 5G and Wi-Fi chips. He said, it will run on A19 chip and come with Apple Intelligence features.

iPhone 17 Air price range (leaked)

The video suggests a premium price range for the iPhone 17 Air. Its price is said to be $1,299 to $1,500 (approximately Rs 1,09,00 to 1,26,000). This will be a bit high considering the iPhone 16 Plus’s $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500) price tag for the 128GB storage model.

Like previous iPhone lineups, the iPhone 17 series is expected to be announced in September 2025. The iPhone 17 Air was initially rumored to be called the iPhone 17 Slim. According to previous leaks, the iPhone 17 Pro models will run on Apple’s A19 Pro chip along with 12GB of RAM. The standard iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air may include an A18 or A19 chip with support for 8GB of RAM. We can expect more information about the next iPhone family to come online in the coming months.
