The iQOO 13 features triple 50MP rear cameras with upgraded sensors compared to the iQOO 12. However, the telephoto lens sees a slight drop as the iQOO 13 offers 2x optical zoom, while the iQOO 12 supports up to 3x optical zoom. The front camera in iQOO 13 has been increased from 16MP sensor to 32MP sensor.

The overall camera performance should be similar on both phones. The iQOO 13 performed well even in some challenging lighting conditions. Its selfies also come with good facial details and accurate skin tones but the edge detection in portrait mode is not that good. The iQOO 12 also has impressive camera performance, but the phone overprocesses images, which some people won’t like.

The iQOO 13 has a larger battery than the iQOO 12 but the same fast charging technology. The iQOO 13 easily lasts for about one and a half days in regular use and about two days in light use. You can count on a day’s power even with heavy usage.

The iQOO 12 lasted for a day and a half between charges. Interestingly, the iQOO 12 outperformed the iQOO 12 in our PCMark benchmark tests. However, in the real world you should get longer battery life with the iQOO 13.

Both the iQOO 13 and iQOO 12 run custom Funtouch OS so you should get a similar UI. The difference here is Android version and software commitment. The iQOO 13 runs the latest Android 15 and is guaranteed to be up to Android 19. The iQOO 12, on the other hand, runs the older Android 14 with up to Android 17 promised. So the iQOO 13 would be a better option if you plan to use the phone for a long time.
