We asked Mitul Shah, Managing Director, tools and services, Google India, and asked him about the strategy, the kind of experiences that the potential buyers are going to the online store, and can do much.

What has been your own strategy for pixel devices so far in India? What is the idea process behind opening direct purchases at India Google Store?

Our strategy for pixels in India has always focused on empowering consumers to fulfill their developed aspirations by putting Google’s best AI in their hands. Over the years, it includes bringing our entire pixel portfolio to Indian users-from our A-series phones to our leading Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro folds, Pixel Buds Pro 2 and more. We are constantly strengthening our foundations in India, through our sometimes offline retail appearance, and develop after sales.

Launching direct online shopping from India Google Store is mainly operated by the dynamic and developed Indian smartphone market. Throughout India, people are expecting rapid refinement, digitally native, and are looking for more competent and convenient-rich equipment with advanced AI and integrated experiences. They have more alternatives, more convenience and clear access to the latest innovations. India’s ability to buy from Google Store is a direct response to these demands, which empowers users to attach the unique AI-operated experiences of Pixel and to attach directly with our full product portfolio.

This direct channel is an important step in our strategy for Pixel in India, designed to complement and increase our existing strong networks of retail partners, including long online collaboration with Flipkart and our sometimes expanded physical retail footprints. In addition to many service centers, which provide post-kharid support, we have expanded our same-day repair capabilities in 20 service centers across India, including three existing Google exclusive service centers.
