Monster Hunter Wilds is already a great addition to long -running franchise, and you don’t need to tell me this. The game has hit over 1.4 million concurrent players on steam and sold more than 8 million copies in 3 days of launch. This is probably one of the most anticipated sports of the year and will be one of the most successful sports of the year. So let’s use this review to answer 1 simple question: If you are new to Monster Hunter Franchise, is it going to start?
Gameplay
The core gameplay loop of the Monster Hunter Wilds is simple – gather Slenn Monsters, Resources, Craft Cool armor, upgrade abilities/weapons, and fight a new big monster. I am also not showing that I know what the fire-faith in the game is called Dragon or the big polar bear/Dragon Hybrid is called. But I will tell you that the tides of the fight were in my favor when one of my demons was interrupted by another demon, and I could sit back and see the demons to see that he could exclude himself before joining the fight – a very fun experience.
You can play the game as a single player, but the real fun is together with your friends and taking the demons down together.

Before coming to your first battle, you are asked about your playstyle, and based on it, the “ideal” weapon type is recommended to you. However, you can always go back and manually choose the weapon of your choice. I recommend playing with excessive weapon types, as you can be someone who prefers a heavy weapon, but in the end may prefer double blades for its sharp-fourth-fourth attacks.
The diversity of weapons on the proposal is quite widespread, ranging from great swords to long swords, swords and shields, dual blades, hammer, hunting horn, lances, laces, charge blades, heavy bogun, bow, and so on each, each offers its unique playstails, statistics, professionals and oppositions. As you progress, you can customize and upgrade arms abilities and even two weapons in the war to mix things. You can also get acquainted with the strength of various weapons and can change things based on the demon that you are taking to an optimal demon-shikar experience.
When I played the game single, the real attraction is in banding with friends for this trip. Even during your single game, if you find a monster very challenging, you can send an SOS flair and call other players to join your fight and turn the tide in your favor.
The gameplay has a lot of depth, and the traversal is very simple. You can simply ride your mount, and it will auto-navigate to your next purpose. You can manually control Mount by using analog stick to take items with your trip and detect environment. The items you collected can be traded for resources/upgradation and may also be the purpose of some sides quests.

Each demon hunt feels like a boss fight and will not end in a few minutes. You will need to take your time and plan a fight and work towards “injuring” the monster and then ensure that you get some damage multiplier on the wound with your special abilities.
Overall, the core gameplay loop of Monster Hunders Wilds, combined with a variety of demons, is attractive and returning to players more.
Graphics and sound
Where there are some technical limitations, I will not make a mistake in the game, because the focus is one after the other a large monster battle, which is very well, for most parts. You will detect five different biomes, from deserts to rainforest and much more. Each environment has a harsh weather conditions that affect it, which gives it a unique look. Once you calm the weather, you get some good looking, succulent environment. After raising corruption, think of it like a corrupt land in the prince of the 2008 prince’s Persia.

Monster design and character design in the game are very good, even though some environment looks as if they have less textured resolutions. I played the game on PS5 associated with an LG B9 OLED TV which supports HDMI 2.1. I also played the game on the PS portal during this review.
While overall graphics are good, the demons of the game are true stars. It seems that in it, the head of the chicken and t. Rex is the body, while the other is an overgrowth frog with a large tongue. Even there is a dragon, and some look like overgrowth, while others look as if they will be correct at home in the alden ring. Variety is quite amazing.

When it comes to the overall performance of the game, you can either give priority to the resolution – can limit the game to 30fps, or prefer the frame rate for 60fps, or a balanced option for the 40FPS cap (limited to display with HDMI 2.1, 120Hz). I mostly played on a balanced mode while playing on TV and switching on display mode while playing on the portal. While I ever encountered the stuttering and some noticeable frame rate dips, it was nothing that was distracted by giving an immersive experience.
Moving forward for sound, the voice acting is at the top for me. But in addition, it is inactive. The immersive of your weapons is the swish and clangs, the magnificent cry of the demons and the background score that keeps it together. There are some really good environmental sounds, such as thunder in rainfalls and swings of electricity and sandstorms that actually stand out when you play the game using a good pair of headphones.
Story
You are a monster hunter, and your guild comes in the “prohibited land” after identifying a stranded child in the desert. Later you have some villagers faced by a demon and immediately interfere to help them. You install your guild, and the simple story of finding the family of trapped boys begins to open the game story. Do not expect a story to be deep conspiracy twists and for me it was more about being connected to the thread of the story ahead of a monster. Lack of a deep story is fine because the game’s meat lies in the gameplay, which is quite attractive.
Decision
Overall, Monster Hunter Wilds is a great entry point for those wishing to start their demon-shikar experience. The difficulty of the game is accessible to new and casual players so that they can improve their skills. While the style cannot appeal to all, the number proves that there is a big viewer who wants to jump and the legendary monster wants to become murderers. On the negative side, the story did not make me much interest, and voice acting was at the top for me, but your mileage on these aspects will be different. Keeping in mind the new demons and difficulty, in mind the post-launch material, this game will be on the storage of your console for the coming months.
