Ola Electric has launched its third generation electric scooter which includes a total of eight separate models. The entry level S1 X model with 2KWH battery starts with an introduction of Rs 79,999, while the S1 Pro+ with a 5.3kwh battery is priced at Rs 1,69,999. - The third generation of Ola’s electric scooters comes instead of a mid-drive motor, an integrated MCU (motor control unit) and a belt drive with a chain drive.
- The entry level Ola S1 X has a 2KWH battery that gives a range of 108 km and a top speed of 101 kmph. On the other hand, the line is a 5.3kwh battery at the top of the Ola S1 Pro+ that provides a range of 320 kilometers and a top speed of 141 kmph.
- This chain drive comes with lubricated o-rings and is expected to run twice until the belt drive available in the previous generation hail scooter is available.
- General 3 scooters will also have a ‘break by wire’ technique that uses sensors to increase breaking and doubles the lifespan of the brake pad. The company claims that this limit will increase by 15% as a result.
- In addition to the anti-lock braking system (ABS) for every third generation hail scooter, there will be safety. For those unknown people, ABS prevents tires from skiding when the rider slam on the brake in emergency.
- All these scooters will run on the Movos 5 software platform.
