The Realme GT 7 Pro is set to launch as the first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone in India on November 26. The brand has already revealed some key specifications of the upcoming offering that are identical to its Chinese counterpart. Now, Realme has confirmed that the GT 7 Pro global model will come with a lesser battery capacity compared to the one available in the home country. Last week, iQOO also revealed that the iQOO 13 will pack a downgraded battery for the Indian market.

Realme GT 7 Pro battery capacity, OS revealed

The Realme GT 7 Pro is confirmed to be powered by a 5,800mAh battery cell.

  • This is 700mAh less than 6,500mAh unit found on the China variant. In case of the iQOO 13, the difference in battery capacity is only 150mAh between their Indian and Chinese models.
  • The Realme GT 7 Pro is confirmed to support the same 120W fast charging.
  • Realme has not explicitly revealed the reason for smaller battery capacities on global models. iQOO has not issued an official statement either.
  • There could be multiple factors for this including regulatory challenges, market demands, price sensitivity, supply chain issues etc.
  • In a separate tweet, the Realme GT 7 Pro is confirmed to run on Realme UI 6.0-based on Android 15 OS out of the box. This will make it the first smartphone from the brand to ship with the latest software. It will also be capable of sharing files seamlessly with iOS.

As expected, the Realme GT 7 Pro is already up for pre-booking from Amazon, the brand’s online website, and offline channels. Interested customers who pre-book are eligible for a bank offer worth Rs 3,000, no-cost EMI options, one year extended warranty, and one year of screen damage insurance. The rest of the specifications of the Realme GT 7 Pro are expected to be the same as the China variant.
