Redmi K80 series launch date officially revealed, alleged renders reveal colors 2024

The launch date of Redmi K80 series in China has been officially revealed. There is a dedicated page on the Xiaomi website in which renders of the phone show a completely different design from the previous phone. The lineup may include two models: the vanilla Redmi K80 and the Redmi K80 Pro.

The Redmi K-series is the brand’s premium offering below the Xiaomi numbered series. The phones offer premium performance and a good camera experience.

The launch date of Redmi K80 series has arrived

Redmi K80 series will be launched in China 27 November 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST).

We see the phone in a dual-tone color scheme of black and light grey. The design of the phone resembles the Xiaomi Civi-series.

Additionally, alleged Redmi K80 and K80 Pro renders have been leaked online (through) and these show the color options.
According to the images, Redmi K80 may be available in Blue, Green, Black, Grey/White colors. Meanwhile, the K80 Pro may get green, black, and grey/white colors.
All the color options feature a dual-tone design to give the phone a distinctive look. The front has not been revealed but the Redmi phone may have a centrally located punch-hole for the selfie snapper and a flat screen.

Redmi K80 series: what do we know so far?

Specifications of Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro were recently leaked online. This revealed that the phones will mainly have different chipsets and cameras.

Display:The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are likely to feature 2K Huaxing LTPS panels with flat displays.
processor:The Redmi K80 Pro is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while the Redmi K80 may get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
For comparison, the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro had Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 respectively.
redmi k80 pro cameras:The Pro model is said to have a 50MP Omnivision OV50 primary camera, a 32MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP ISOCELL JN5 telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom. Redmi K70 Pro has a 50MP + 12MP + 50MP setup.
redmi k80 cameras: The vanilla model can get 50MP Omnivision OV50 primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro lens. This is the same combination as Redmi K70.
Both phones may have a 20MP front camera, which will be an upgrade from the previous 16MP front camera.
battery, charging: Redmi K80 Pro is reported to have a 6000mAh battery, with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Redmi K80 may feature a 6,500mAh cell with 90W fast charging. The Redmi K70 series packs a 5000mAh battery and 120W fast charging.
Other: IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi K-series phones do not expand to India and global markets with the same moniker. Instead, they have been rebranded as POCO phones. We can expect the company to adopt the same strategy for the upcoming Redmi K80 series.
