Redmi will unveil the K80 Pro flagship on November 27, but the Xiaomi brand is not shying away from teasing the specs ahead of the launch. This morning, we got key details about the rear camera setup, including that this will be the first time we’ll see a Redmi K phone with a telephoto shooter and that it will have OIS.
The main camera is listed by Sony as a LYT-800 sensor, and we know it’s 50 MP. OIS is also coming for this shooter, which is no less than a surprise. The telephoto cam will also have a 50 MP sensor, and thanks to the “floating” lens, as Redmi calls it, the shooter can take close-up shots up to 10 cm away from the object.
The ultra-wide-angle camera will have a 32MP sensor and a 120-degree field of view – another big upgrade over the average UW shooter on previous Redmi phones.
The brand is so proud of the Redmi K80 Pro cameras that it shared two samples on its Weibo profile. They were taken with a telephoto lens, and the spider is only 10 cm away from the device.
Xiaomi will launch Redmi K80 Pro in China. It will have Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a powerful battery of 6,000 mAh. We will have to wait and see if the device will come out in the domestic market under the same name or go global under the Poco brand.
