The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (Review) is the latest addition to the Galaxy S24 series. This is the most affordable smartphone of the Galaxy S24 series. To keep the price under control, the South Korean smartphone giant has used Exynos 2400e processor in this smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s closest rival in this price segment is the Pixel 8A (Review), which is powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset. We compared these two competing devices to determine which one offers better value for its price. Ultimately, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE emerged as the winner, although the Google Pixel 8A performed well in real-world scenarios.
To assess their performance, we tested both phones using benchmark scores and real-world scenarios. For benchmarks, we used popular tools like AnTuTu and Geekbench to measure overall performance. We also tested sustained performance using the Burnout benchmark app. Additionally, we evaluated each phone’s gaming performance by checking game optimizations and tracking temperature rise.
geekbench
The Geekbench test helps us understand CPU performance capabilities, providing metrics for both single-core and multi-core performance. Single-core performance measures how well the phone handles everyday tasks like web browsing and app opening, while multi-core performance measures its ability to handle intensive tasks like gaming, photo and video editing.
The Galaxy S24 FE’s Geekbench results were significantly higher than the Pixel 8A, with about a 50 percent advantage in the multi-core test and a 25 percent advantage in the single-core test. These substantial differences suggest that the Galaxy S24 FE should deliver better performance in both single-core and multi-core tasks.

geekbench single-core | 2074 | 1514 |
geekbench multi-core | 6407 | 3407 |
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
AnTuTu
AnTuTu evaluates the overall performance of a smartphone, including CPU, GPU, memory, and user experience. It assigns separate marks to each category and combines them for an overall score. Once again, the Galaxy S24 FE takes the lead with over 50 percent better overall AnTuTu score. Breaking down the scores, the Galaxy S24 FE excelled in every metric including CPU, GPU, memory, and user experience.
Based on the benchmark results, the Galaxy S24 FE should deliver better performance in CPU and GPU-intensive tasks. With nearly double the GPU performance of the Pixel 8A, the Galaxy S24 FE is well suited for gaming and other GPU-intensive tasks like photo and video editing. Our review also confirms that the Galaxy S24 FE delivers impeccable performance in everyday tasks.

CPU throttling
We used the Burnout benchmark app to assess CPU stability and temperatures under heavy workloads. The app stresses the phone’s processor and provides a score based on performance output under throttling conditions. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s burnout benchmark results were disappointing, with a significant drop in performance seen under prolonged stress. In contrast, the Pixel 8A’s burnout score, while not exceptional, displays better stability over time.
This means that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may offer a strong performance initially, but its performance is likely to degrade over time when performing demanding tasks. This can present itself in real-world scenarios like increased frame drops during gaming, lag or jitter during heavy multi-tasking, etc.

gaming test
While benchmarks point to the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s edge, real-world usage is paramount. We tested both the phones with Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) and Real Racing 3 at the same graphical settings for 30 minutes to determine which of these two phones is better. Provides performance. Unfortunately, we couldn’t accurately measure the FPS on the Google Pixel 8A, so we considered the higher game settings supported by each device.
game | Samsung Galaxy S24 FE | google pixel 8a |
COD:MOBILE | Ultra High Graphics + Ultra Frame (Max) | Very High Graphics + Max Frames (Max) |
real racing 3 | Standard | Standard |
bgmi | Ultra HDR Graphics + Extreme Frame (Max) | Ultra HDR Graphics + Extreme Frame (Max) |
In one of the three games, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE supported higher frame settings, indicating better performance potential. Additionally, the Galaxy S24 FE displayed lower temperatures, except for a slight increase in BGMI. It is clear that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the winner in terms of gaming performance.
COD:MOBILE | real racing 3 | bgmi | |
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE | 5.4 degrees | 4.9 degrees | 5.3 degrees |
google pixel 8a | 6.1 degrees | 5.6 degrees | 4.7 degrees |
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
decision
The results of this comparison are somewhat surprising. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE leads in every test except CPU throttling, while the Pixel 8A shines with the long-term stability of its processor. In everyday use, you won’t notice any significant difference between the two devices. However, for slightly better performance, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a better choice.
