Samsung is allegedly working on its first TRAI-folding phone, Galaxy G fold and will take it to Huawei Met XT, which was recently expanded to global markets. It is said that the new three-foldable Galaxy can debut with Z fold 7 and Flip 7 later this year. In the middle of it, a new Samsung patent has surfaced online and shows a three-folding flip-style device. here are the details.
Samsung Try-Flipping Flip device
- Samsung was given a patent for a new three-folding device with a flip-style design on 25 February WIPO (World intellectual property organization), as seen by 91mobiles.
- Samsung currently offers a single-folded flip-style phone i.e. Galaxy Z Flip Lineup.
- Patent images suggest that the device may be folded twice in question, meaning that two hinges are holding the whole thing in a piece. It should also offer a large screen area.

- Volume rockers and power buttons are present in the top part of the device, while the type-C is on the lower edge.
- What’s interesting is also support for S Pen because we can see slot/housing for the same in patent images.
- The inclusion of S Penn indicates that the device may be a tablet, but then it can also be a smartphone with S-series ultra-like smartphone with S Pen Support.
- We also see a long oval shaped module on the rear, which can be for the camera sensor.
Since this design is currently in the patent phase, not much is known about hardware at this time. We do not even know if the company will ever pursue such a design for commercial products. However, it suggests that the brand is working on three-foldable designs for the future.
As a tri-folding phone, which is already in work, the report states that the Galaxy G fold may have a 9.96-inch display, which is much larger than the 7.6-inch internal display of the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 6. When turned, it can offer a 6.54 inch screen. Inward folding mechanisms can make the device a little thick.
