Samsung launched the Galaxy A16 5G last month, and now it’s getting ready to unveil a very close brother: the Galaxy M16. It has been spotted in the Geekbench database powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, just like the A16.

The tested M16 prototype had 8GB of RAM and ran Android 14. The A16 was also launched with Android 14, and with the promise of receiving 6 major Android updates. Its top version has 8GB of RAM but there are also iterations with 4GB and 6GB, so the M16 can find those too.

In Geekbench 5.5.1 for Android, the M16 achieved a single-core score of 552 and a multi-core score of 1,611. It’s not clear exactly when it will be announced, but it can’t be much longer than now.

Based on last year’s situation A15 and M15 were similar Aside from the latter’s larger battery, we wouldn’t be surprised if the M16 was similar to the A16, perhaps with its own 6,000 mAh cell.

If it’s successful, expect the M16 to have a 6.7-inch 90 Hz Super AMOLED screen with 800-nit peak brightness, 128/256GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro camera. And a 13 MP selfie snapper.
