Sony linkbuds are fit mid-range earbuds designed for comfort and also promise advanced noise cancellation, ambient sound control and AI-operated call clarity. They even pack the same 8.4 mm dynamic driver X found in Sony’s flagship WF-1000xm5 TWS. So, on paper, there are materials for quality earphones. But, do linkbuds fit actually distribute? We put the pair into the test to find out. This is 91mobiles’ Sony Linques Fit review, in which you will learn if they are worth the price of asking.
Let’s start with unboxing experience:

Sony Linkbuds Fit Compact Packaging comes with various sized earbud tips, user manual and very neatly sliding compartments for charging cables.

design
The case has a cutecy square size and comes in three colors, that is, in black, white and green. Our black version is, and it has a bright top half and a matte lower half, and together, it unclearly resembles a bumper car. The specific texture of the two parts can help you open the top half easily without seeing, but it is prone to smoothie and scratch. Although a little longer, the case can still slip into the coin pocket in your jeans.
The front side has an LED indicator for charging and pairing status, and is the USB-C port and a reset pairing button on the back side of the case. We will soon meet for charging and pairing process. But first, let’s open the case.

You can easily open a lid with one hand. The top half seems to be slightly fluffy with a noticeable internal movement. When you remove the buds from their magnetic cradle, you will see how light they are.
The buds have a stamless design with rubber ear tips and ear feathers or ear feathers, or, as Sony calls them, fitting supporters. You get several ear tip shapes to swap, but no replacement for ear wings. If you attack them at the opening of the ear canal, provide a safe fit with bundles. It is good during public transport, working, washing your face, etc., moreover, its IPX4 rating means that it can overtake the water splashes.
For example, Sony Buds can remove the noise or keep reading their touch gestures.
Audio, call and ANC
As already mentioned, Sony linkbuds fit an 8.4 mm dynamic driver X. The size of the driver is compact when compared to the competition with Apple, Samsung and Beats, which all contain about 11 mm drivers. Nevertheless, it is Sony’s custom designed driver for flagship, and you get the taste of that quality here. I enabled the LDAC format (for high bitrate sound) and DSEE Extreme Excling.
Good channel is separation, and sound staging is decent. The introduction of riders on the storm by doors has a clear separation between the effects of rain, the effects of rain, thunder sound and various devices. However, I could not understand the separate movement and situation of the raindrops, though.
Sony buds give you a feeling of standing in the middle of the queen’s artists, while the song, Bohemian plays Rapsodi. Paning and shifting vocals, coming from different directions, were clear.
Similarly, buds can handle the high levels of the vocal coral in the carol of bells by John Williams and the operative welling in the morning of the iconoclast by Lisa Gerrard.
Links will not disappoint fit bass lovers. James Blake has controlled sub-bass thunder in the limits of your love, but is not atmospheric. But the beet drops in the acid rain by Lor were deep and heavy.
I also had a good experience of listening to podcasts, audiobooks, movies and shows hours.
For the quality of the audio during the call, I could clearly hear the other person, but he said that my voice was muffle and distant voice, as if I was cold or if the sound was coming through a pipe. But the noise cancellation was working well.
Speaking about, with Sony’s integrated processor V2 (similar to Sony WF-1000xm5), multiple Mics, and Auto NC Optimizer, you get a decent adequate ANC. On the other hand, the surroundings mode can help you know about your surroundings. There is also an auto ambient sound option that automatically filters the surrounding sounds depending on the surrounding noise level.

Software features and tricks
Sound Connect app Sony provides several ways to customize linkbuds fit experience. However, the number of options may feel heavy. Some characteristics are really useful, while others are good for the bus.
On the home screen of the sound connect app, you can see the current battery life of both buds and case separately. Even when the buds connect with the phone, you will get the same information on your phone.
You can choose different synchronizing mode that suits your taste. I like default tuning.
The spatial audio no longer works on the Samsung phone as Samsung has removed the Android head tracking support for non-ecosyne earphones. Meanwhile, on iPhones, LDAC will not work.
You can control TWS using Voice Command through Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or your phone underlying Voice Assistant. I did not find it especially useful. Similarly, I did not see the need for Speak to Chat (which stops the music when you speak and start it again when you stop it) or background music effects (which spreads audio to mimic the spirit of a cafe, living room, or individual place).

You can customize tap-based playback control to play the next or previous track, play a spotify recommendation, adjust ambient sound control, or activate voice assistants. You can repeatedly tap the buds to control the volume, and it worked properly. Interestingly, the exploitation of the area near the front of his ears also worked firmly.
On the other hand, the head gesture feature, which allows you to take or cancel the call with simple head movement, does not work well.

Connectivity and battery
Sony Linques supports fit Bluetooth 5.3, which works within 10m radius.
The connection process is simple on Android and Windows thanks to the smart pair of Google Fast Pair and Microsoft. The process of pairing with iPhone and Mac was also fine.
The device can work with two devices simultaneously, thanks to Bluetooth multipoint. You can enable it to the sound connect app.
Similarly, Le Audio Priority Options togle on the option if you want a lower delay connection while playing the game.
The buds can identify that when you take them off your ears or put them. It stops automatically and resumes the playback accordingly. Auto stop and start is rather quick.
When the buds are low on charge, the auto power sev feature can automatically disable some of the above power-consolation features.
Sony claims that linkbuds fit noise cancellation offers 5.5 hours of continuous music playback. In my case, LDAC, DSEE Extreme, and many sound connected with smart features, and playing music in 88 decibels, I were getting about 4 to 4.5 hours. Your mileage may vary depending on your settings, and may be able to be able to approach Sony’s estimate.
The buds will take about 2 hours to completely topped with a wired USB-C charger (0.5A). However, there is no wireless charging support, which is a miss at this price point.
And with this, it is time to talk about its overall value.
Decision
Sony linkbuds fit a compact and comfortable in-ear fit that can be safe during workouts or when you can be safe and also about it. This design, combined with ANC, can block most of the external noise, but not completely, which I think if you are outside it is good. Automatic environment mode can also be helpful in keeping you aware of your environment.
An earphone matters the most, that is,, audio, linkbuds fit flagship-grade hardware, Sony’s tuning and LDAC and DSEE Extreme provides a pleasant experience for enhancement. Sound connect app lets you tune many of this experience as per your choice.
Linkbuds FIT’s plotable cases help to increase this experience, which provides enough fees to get you through the day. Nevertheless, I think battery life could have been better, especially when you compare it with some of its contestants. You also notice the lack of wireless charging, limited ingrand protection and an average calling experience when compared against your rivals.
Some of these options can provide comparable or better value, but you can close yourself in the ecosystem of those companies. And so, if you like what Sony is offering here, you can buy linkbuds in India for Rs 18,990 to Rs 24,990 on the basis of various retail offers.
