The first email, received on October 27, demanded ₹20 crore. The second email, received a day later, threatened that Ambani would be shot dead if he did not pay ₹200 crore. The third email, received on October 30, doubled the demand to ₹400 crore.

The Mumbai police have increased security at Ambani’s residence and are working to trace the sender of the emails.
